Sources, Updates and Corrections
This policy explains the controls readers can observe on FairPlay pages: who is accountable, which evidence supports a statement, when it was checked, what remains unavailable, and how to report a correction.
Accountability and Attribution
Fair Play Fantasy Sports is accountable for platform and commercial information. Pages may use the organization-level FairPlay Editorial Team byline. The Editorial Contributors page lists owner-approved contributor names without attaching unprovided credentials, specialities, or historic page-review claims.
Editorial Control Process
Define the page job
Each page is assigned a specific user question and permanent canonical URL before content is changed.
Collect evidence
Time-sensitive sports facts use a named provider or primary official source. Owner-provided business facts are labelled as operator-confirmed where that distinction matters.
Separate facts from interpretation
Verified fixture facts, unavailable fields, editorial analysis, and prediction uncertainty are presented as different evidence classes.
Check page and schema consistency
Visible dates, source facts, canonicals, headings, and applicable structured data are checked together so markup does not claim more than the page shows.
Record material updates
A page date changes only when its content or evidence changes materially. Merely refreshing a timestamp is not treated as an editorial update.
Receive corrections
Readers can report a specific URL and factual issue through the official FairPlay WhatsApp route. The disputed field is checked against its controlling source before correction.
Published Evidence Labels
Verified source fact
A fact present in the named source at the recorded check time.
Owner-confirmed fact
A current platform or operational fact supplied by the official operator.
Unavailable
A field the checked source did not support; it is not filled by assumption.
Editorial interpretation
Analysis or prediction derived from stated evidence and accompanied by an uncertainty boundary.
Corrections and Feedback
To report a factual issue, send the exact page URL, the disputed statement, and the source you believe should control the correction. Do not include passwords, OTPs, PINs, banking credentials, or other sensitive account information.
Report a correction through official WhatsAppPolicy Update Record
3 September 2026: Added the public contributor boundary, named evidence classes, material-update rule, structured-data consistency check, and owner-confirmed WhatsApp correction route.
This policy describes observable controls. It does not claim that an unidentified expert reviewed every historic page.
